GameSense Advisors work for the BC Responsible & Problem Gambling Program. They work primarily in BC casinos and some Community Gaming Centres; they also partner with Program colleagues to work in communities.
GameSense Advisors deliver BCLC’s GameSense programming to gaming patrons and staff. GameSense Advisors are responsible gambling specialists, they are available to help patrons make healthy decisions about their gambling by helping to build understanding about how gambling works, by debunking common gambling myths, and by offering strategies that can keep gambling safe and fun.
They also provide support and information to patrons who may be interested in accessing free Program services such as free support and counselling.
GameSense Advisors also play an integral role in the Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program through providing information about VSE to patrons and staff, accompanying patrons during enrolment, and connecting patrons to free support services.
