BCLC works in partnership with the BC government, and other prevention and treatment agencies, to promote responsible participation in gambling. Voluntary Self-Exclusion programs are designed for people who feel it is in their best interests not to participate in gambling for a specified period of time. BCLC has established three different Voluntary Self-Exclusion programs that allow people to exclude themselves from gaming venues or from gambling on PlayNow. One option is to self-exclude from all venues with slot machines, the second option is to self-exclude from commercial bingo halls and the third option is to self-exclude from the PlayNow site. You are able to sign up for one or all of these programs at your discretion. If you choose to sign up for more than one program you will need to do so separately as they are individual programs. By completing and submitting a Voluntary Self-Exclusion form you are choosing to be refused access to either all venues with slot machines in BC or all commercial bingo halls in BC or from playing on PlayNow, depending on which Voluntary Self-Exclusion program you have decided to participate in. Voluntary self-exclusion cannot be revoked. For more information about BCLC's Voluntary Self-Exclusion programs including how to register, contact the Problem Gambling Help Line at 1-888-795-6111.
