Program InformationAs part of our ongoing commitment to provide effective and quality services, the Responsible Gambling Program collects comprehensive client statistics and regularly conducts client satisfaction surveys. Responsible Gambling Strategy Annual ReportThe Province of British Columbia is committed to ensuring that gaming in B.C. is conducted and managed with integrity, that gaming is offered in a socially responsible manner, and problem and responsible gambling programs and services are available to the general public. To achieve these objectives, the Responsible Gambling Strategy guides work in three key areas: the BC Problem Gambling Program (including problem gambling treatment and prevention services), responsible gambling awareness initiatives, and problem and responsible gambling research. In 2007/08, $7 million dollars was allocated to the Province's Responsible Gambling Strategy for treatment, research, and prevention programs. Client Satisfaction SurveyThe main purpose of the Client Satisfaction Survey is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Province's problem gambling clinical counselling program. Client feedback demonstrates the level of satisfaction and success with the type of treatment received. Client Satisfaction Survey results are available as downloadable PDF files:
Prevention Satisfaction SurveyThe main purpose of the Prevention Satisfaction Survey is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Province's problem gambling prevention program. Responsible Gambling Program StatisticsThe problem gambling statistics present some key findings, such as the number of calls made to the toll free problem gambling Help Line, the number of admissions to treatment, the geographic location of clients and the types of gambling activity reported by clients.
